Another military helicopter crashes in Russia, kills all crew members

A Russian Mi-8 Military helicopter has crashed at an airport in Russia’s remote eastern Chukotka region, killing all four crew members.

The incident happened during a training flight on Tuesday, according to The Moscow Times.

“The reason for the accident could be a technical fault with the helicopter,” The Moscow Times quoted a defence ministry statement as saying.

“Military investigators were dispatched to the crash site.”

Confirming the incident, the governor of Chukotka, Roman Kopin wrote on his Instagram account: “There were three crew members and one technician on board. All four died.”

DAILY POST had reported last week that a Russian Military helicopter also crashed during a training flight outside Moscow.
